Konstella - The Paden Community Hub

Paden is known for our community.

We are a diverse, caring and committed group. It truly does “take a village” and we want to make it easy for our parent community to stay connected, engaged, and organized.

Konstella is a free, secure, and private parent communications platform for schools, funded by the PTA. This user-friendly system offers a websiteiPhone, and Android apps. Our unique school invitation code is QX0RO6.

Paden PTA uses Konstella for:

  • PTA communications to the community. All of our committees (Fundraising, Yearbook, Family Fun Nights) will live on Konstella.

  • 1:1 and classroom-specific messaging - plan classroom events, arrange meet ups or playdates, invite friends to a party or share fun photos

  • Social groups - share photos, ask questions, meet other families with similar interests

  • Volunteer sign ups and calendar updates

*Official school communication will continue to come through Parent Square

Konstella Code of Conduct

Konstella is a tool funded by the PTA to enable parents and caregivers to communicate about our school and our children. We strive for a self-moderated environment, where we put our kids first and role model behaviors we expect of them. All adults on Konstella are asked to follow the same “Bs” our Pelicans commit to each morning:

  • Be Safe

  • Be Kind

  • Be Responsible

  • Be Our Best!

Rules

To ensure a welcoming environment for all, the following are not allowed on Konstella, and may lead to a post being removed:

  • Slurs / name calling

  • Threats

  • Attempts to embarrass or humiliate others

  • Revealing personal information about others

  • Explicit material or language

  • Using the platform for spam marketing

  • Using the platform to campaign for political candidates or ideologies

Additionally, Konstella should not be used to raise an issue about a specific student, parent or Paden staff member. Please go directly to the teacher, principal, or parent if you have a concern.

If you see a post that violates these rules or you have questions about what is appropriate to post, please contact the PTA board via Konstella or email PadenPTA@gmail.com.

Konstella Tips:

Assign your child to their classroom:

Signing up for Konstella is a one-time event - there's no need to enroll again each fall. Each year, update your child’s classroom assignment. Here's how:

Web: Click your name in the top left corner.  Click "Your Children" to add/modify your children and then make sure to “Join Classroom.”

App: Settings icon -> Your Children

Manage your Notification Preferences:

Once you’ve registered for Konstella, we recommend that you set up your notification preferences. This allows you to control how you receive Konstella communications and how often. You will also be able to set up your privacy preferences. If you registered for Konstella previously, we recommend double checking your preferences so you don’t miss out on communication.

Be sure to sync your calendar:

Konstella allows you to sync Paden’s calendar with your Google, iPhone, or other online calendars. This way, you won't miss any school-wide or classroom events. Just follow these steps:

  1. After login, click on Calendar in the top menu.

  2. On the right, click on the green link that says “Sync to My Calendar” (or just "Sync" in the mobile app)

  3. This part is important: scroll past Participation Calendar to Events Calendar. Click on your calendar format.

  4. Confirm in the pop-up window.

  5. Give it a little time to sync. You should see school events on your calendar after a few minutes.

Adjust language settings

The Konstella website is integrated with Google Translate.  The Translate button is located in the lower-left corner of every page.  In every Announcement, Event, Sign-Up and email an organizer sends out, in the upper right corner there's a translate link that allows you to translate the content of the email to any language. The Konstella app is currently available only in English and Spanish.
